Aim
- To further public awareness of the roles and benefits of using members and establish market recognition of this new breed of professionals.
- To promote FIIRM and its members as the only truly independent voice in matters of insurance and risk management in the SME sector
- To lobby for recognition from the FSA that members are not insurance brokers and thus should not be subject to the blanket approach applied to “intermediaries”.
- To agree industry standards thus providing potential clients with a kitemark for quality and independence.
- To provide a resource centre for members to include technical advice, market knowledge etc and to explore other advantages such as a locum register.
- FIIRM to be non profit making and members to determine scope and direction of the organisation and activities.
